The SFC Farmers’ Markets are part of SFC’s mission to cultivate a healthy community by strengthening the local food system and improving access to nutritious, affordable food. SFC is a local non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. SFC has been involved in getting locally grown food to local family tables in the Austin area since 1975. The SFC Farmers Market, including locations at Downtown, Sunset Valley, The Triangle and East Austin is the largest certified* growers-only farmers’ market in the state, with more than 110 farmers and other vendors.

*The SFC Farmers’ Market is not only certified by the Texas Department of Agriculture, but also by the more rigorous Texas Certified Farmers Market Corporation, a statewide professional agricultural trade organization that requires farmers’ markets to have 51% or more farmers at their markets.
